Role Context
The Senior Key Account Manager - 3PL Partners will own high-value third-party logistics relationships and act as the main link between Talabat, external 3PL partners, operations teams, finance, legal, data, and account management stakeholders. The role goes beyond routine coordination by using performance data, commercial insight, partner feedback, and market intelligence to improve delivery outcomes, support recruitment targets, strengthen compliance, and keep partner strategies aligned with Talabat’s business goals in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow strategic relationships with high-value 3PL partners, acting as a trusted advisor and primary contact for key partner matters.
* Build structured engagement plans that align 3PL partner activity with Talabat’s delivery goals, service standards, and commercial priorities.
* Track partner performance across operational KPIs, delivery metrics, compliance indicators, recruitment targets, and service quality measures.
* Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across the 3PL partner portfolio.
* Develop corrective action plans with internal teams and external partners when performance, compliance, or operational standards fall below expectations.
* Support 3PL partners in scaling capabilities, improving rider supply, resolving operational challenges, and meeting agreed performance targets.
* Participate in renewal discussions, fee reviews, commercial negotiations, and partner-facing business conversations.
* Help connect commercial terms with real performance outcomes, operational realities, market conditions, and long-term partnership value.
* Work closely with operations, finance, legal, data, and account management teams to execute initiatives and remove roadblocks quickly.
* Escalate recurring issues, partner concerns, compliance risks, and operational bottlenecks with clear recommendations and practical next steps.
* Monitor market dynamics related to rider availability, regulatory updates, 3PL sentiment, delivery trends, and competitor activity.
* Use partner intelligence and frontline insights to shape account strategies, leadership updates, and internal decision-making.
* Represent 3PL partner needs within Talabat while balancing compliance, efficiency, customer experience, and operational discipline.
* Prepare performance reviews, business updates, partner reports, and action plans for internal stakeholders and external partners.
* Maintain accurate records of partner discussions, commercial updates, performance actions, renewal timelines, and agreed commitments.
Ideal Profile
* 4+ years of experience managing key business relationships, account portfolios, B2B partnerships, 3PL partners, logistics providers, or platform-based partner networks.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
* Experience with gig economy platforms, delivery operations, courier networks, logistics partners, or marketplace businesses is a strong advantage.
* Strong ability to manage complex external relationships and influence internal stakeholders across different business functions.
* Proven track record of improving operational performance, compliance outcomes, partner satisfaction, or commercial results.
* Confident in commercial discussions, renewal conversations, fee reviews, and partner-facing negotiations.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights, explain performance trends, and handle sensitive partner conversations.
* Good business acumen with the ability to understand how operational decisions affect cost, service quality, growth, and partner value.
* Comfortable working with data, dashboards, KPI reports, partner scorecards, and performance improvement plans.
* Able to anticipate challenges, manage ambiguity, and connect day-to-day execution with long-term strategic goals.
