The Senior Program Manager will lead initiatives designed to recover greater economic value from customer-returned products handled within Amazon Fulfillment Centers. The role focuses on identifying where value is lost during Customer Returns processes and converting those findings into practical operational, product, and process solutions.
This position combines program leadership, fulfillment operations, analytics, process standardization, and cross-functional execution. By improving refurbishment capabilities, warehouse deal pathways, return handling, and operational controls, the manager will help reduce avoidable losses and strengthen the profitability of reverse logistics operations across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze operational data from Customer Returns processes to identify root causes of value loss.
* Develop practical solutions that improve recovery from returned products through refurbishment and alternative resale channels.
* Measure the financial and operational impact of implemented recovery initiatives.
* Improve the effectiveness of value recovery capabilities across Amazon Fulfillment Centers.
* Standardize key metrics, processes, controls, and SOPs across AMET markets.
* Align regional value recovery practices with relevant Rest of the World operating standards where appropriate.
* Build deep subject matter expertise in customer returns, refurbishment, and recovery processes.
* Lead product and process initiatives that increase the recoverable value of returned inventory.
* Implement new operational capabilities within fulfillment centers and monitor adoption after launch.
* Partner with Amazon Customer Excellence System teams to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
* Work with Learning and Development teams to strengthen associate knowledge and execution of return-handling processes.
* Collaborate with Engineering teams on technical or physical process improvements.
* Engage Category and business teams to evaluate commercial recovery opportunities.
* Partner with Finance to quantify value recovery, losses, savings, and initiative performance.
* Coordinate with Procurement teams when recovery solutions require new services, equipment, or external capabilities.
* Work with Data Science teams to improve analytical insight and identify scalable recovery opportunities.
* Collaborate with Returns and Customer Experience teams to balance recovery objectives with customer experience requirements.
* Define program requirements, milestones, success metrics, and implementation plans.
* Troubleshoot operational barriers during new launches and drive issues through to resolution.
