Role Context
This position plays a central role in aligning demand planning, import logistics, and inventory management to support Talabat’s expanding grocery and q-commerce operations. The specialist will collaborate with multiple regional teams to improve forecasting accuracy, streamline import processes, and maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop accurate demand forecasts using historical sales, market trends, and promotional data
* Plan inbound shipments and stock pipelines for 3 to 6 months to ensure continuous product availability
* Manage and improve import shipment clearance processes while ensuring compliance with internal policies
* Coordinate with finance, commercial, and operations teams to reduce demurrage costs and improve clearance timelines
* Monitor inventory levels and implement stock control strategies to maintain optimal days of holding
* Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy and SKU availability across regional markets
* Prepare dashboards and reports using BI tools to support data-driven decision-making
* Oversee distribution center performance metrics and recommend operational enhancements
* Collaborate with suppliers to improve fill rates, availability, and scheduling efficiency
* Lead and support cross-functional projects related to supply chain optimization and process improvement
* Facilitate S and OP processes to align business plans with supply chain capabilities

Ideal Profile

* Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, forecasting, and import operations
* Background in grocery retail or fast-moving consumer goods environment preferred
* Strong analytical mindset with experience handling large datasets
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BI reporting tools
* Knowledge of import processes, Incoterms, and international logistics
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
* Structured, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively
* Self-driven professional with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
