Role Context
The Vendor Manager plays a key role in strengthening global vendor partnerships and improving international supply chain performance. This role supports local category teams by managing import operations from manufacturers to fulfillment centers while improving inventory availability, cost efficiency, and customer experience across expanding international markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Educate vendors about new country opportunities and international expansion strategies
* Build and maintain strong relationships with senior vendor leaders to support long-term business growth
* Develop and improve direct import operations to increase product selection and reduce costs
* Support onboarding of new vendors into supply chain, compliance, and merchandising systems
* Coordinate with local Vendor Managers to understand product selection needs and contractual requirements
* Work with global stakeholders to maintain alignment across supply chain and vendor operations
* Monitor vendor performance indicators including stock availability, import share, and operational metrics
* Support pricing, promotions, and inventory planning to improve business performance
* Ensure smooth movement of goods from ordering to fulfillment center delivery
* Lead business improvement projects and support development of best practices for vendor operations
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in retail, operations, vendor management, business management, or consulting
* Strong experience with vendor negotiations and delivering measurable business results
* Advanced Excel skills with strong ability to manage reports and performance analysis
* Experience with financial analysis and profit and loss ownership
* Good understanding of inventory planning, pricing, and promotional strategy
* Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills
* Experience managing large data sets and using insights to improve operations preferred
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing business environment
