Position Overview
DP World Dubai is seeking an accomplished Vice President – Communications, Planning and Operations to lead the strategic development, integration, and performance of Group Communications globally. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer (CCO), this senior leadership role is responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, and aligning communications priorities across regional and functional teams. The VP will oversee planning, governance, budgeting, measurement, and agency management, driving continuous improvement and ensuring that the communications function supports DP World’s brand purpose, business objectives, and global reputation.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and execution of the global communications strategy in alignment with DP World’s business goals and brand vision.
* Oversee the annual global communications plan, integrating regional and corporate priorities while maintaining flexibility for local adaptation.
* Manage the global communications budget and ensure effective governance, alignment, and financial stewardship across all regions.
* Drive regional integration by collaborating closely with communications leaders across geographies to ensure consistency, synergy, and accountability.
* Establish and lead the global Project Management Office (PMO) for Communications to strengthen execution, governance, and delivery discipline.
* Manage all global external agency relationships, chair the Inter-Agency Team, and ensure partners deliver measurable strategic and commercial value.
* Develop and oversee a comprehensive measurement framework to track performance against strategic KPIs and translate insights into actionable decisions.
* Foster innovation and continuous improvement by embedding best practices, performance benchmarking, and structured learning initiatives across teams.
* Act as a trusted advisor to the CCO and senior leadership on strategic communications, reputation management, and organizational alignment.
* Provide oversight of strategic communications for the DP World Foundation and other special projects.
* Serve as the primary liaison for Group Communications with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Internal Audit functions.
* Lead leadership routines including SLT meetings, offsites, and global communications conferences to ensure alignment and effective decision-making.
* Maintain tactical agility in supporting global campaigns, issue management, and crisis communication efforts.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
* Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, with significant leadership experience in global or matrixed organizations.
* Proven expertise in communications planning, operations management, and team leadership at an executive level.
* Demonstrated ability to advise and influence C-suite executives with strategic communications counsel.
* Strong understanding of branding, reputation management, and campaign integration within a global enterprise context.
* Skilled in budget management, data-driven performance measurement, and vendor governance.
* Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration capabilities.
* Experience working across diverse cultures and global teams, fostering integration and performance alignment.
* Member of professional communications bodies such as MEPRA, AMEC, or Arthur Page Society is advantageous.
