The Assistant Banquet Manager at SO/ Uptown Dubai will work closely the entire Food and Beverage team to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, high-quality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of banquet guest service and core standards, ensuring the creation of innovative ideas to enhance the hotel’s offerings.
Manage the daily supervision, coordination, and direction of all banquet colleagues.
Ensure all banquet functions maintain a first-class, positive visual impact, including ambiance, cleanliness, orderliness, and service flow.
Work closely with the culinary and stewarding teams to ensure food quality and timely service.
Lead and coach all banquet team members, fostering high employee morale and team spirit.
Create and implement training programs to deliver and sustain 5-star service standards.
Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to and promoting health and safety standards.
Maintain a preventative cleaning and maintenance program for all banquet areas and equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years in a similar role within a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment.
Proven experience managing high-quality banquet operations.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead diverse teams and work effectively with multinational guests.
Proficiency in MS Office and event management software.
