Responsible for spearheading strategy development, managing the organization's strategic planning and execution, ensure alignment with the overall vision and mission, maintain a competitive edge, and support business units within the commercial Digital business in their strategic initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and facilitate Business units and Lines of Business top-down strategies, ensuring these are aligned with overall company objectives.
Establish comprehensive long-range strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, applying standard methodologies to develop and refine corporate and business strategies.
Monitor and analyze business climate, technological trends, and government activities and provide insightful recommendations for improvement.
Manage the process of setting company-wide strategic objectives, ensuring they are clear, measurable, and attainable.
Provide expert advice on the development and alignment of digital strategies across different AD Ports Group clusters, ensuring they enable the business strategies of the respective clusters.
Design and facilitate the annual strategic planning process for the Digital Cluster and its business units.
Collaborate with external consultants as necessary to guarantee the quality and timeliness of strategy-related projects and initiatives.
Identify and establish strategic initiatives, contributing to the organization's long-term success.
Support the execution and analysis of trials for new business initiatives, pilot programs, and regional rollouts, ensuring they align with strategic goals.
Regularly report on the status and summary of strategy development projects to senior management, including supporting the creation of summaries for Board of Directors.
People Management Responsibilities:
Provide strong and visionary leadership, supervision, and guidance to the team, setting clear expectations and creating a culture of accountability.
Offer coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their capabilities and problem-solving skills.
Identify and groom future leaders within the team to ensure continuity and growth (succession planning).
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and excellence promoting creative thinking, collaboration and knowledge sharing among the team.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Identify, assess and update the strategic risks and challenges in the Digital Cluster and develop the appropriate mitigation plans and contingency strategies.
Enforce proper communication across the cluster to ensure all stakeholders know and understand the strategy and strategic priorities.
Translate cluster strategies into detailed initiatives.
Ensure that business strategies and strategies programs are prepared in accordance with AD Ports Group strategy to ensure the development of an integrated approach.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational and Technical Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategy or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
Language Skills:
Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage
Years of Experience:
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role
Nature of Experience:
Experience in strategy development, planning and due diligence with an international consulting firm or a high-profile organisation.
Experience in Strategy, Digital Strategy, Business planning, research, and feasibility study to the highest calibre.
Proven ability to lead/implement high-profile strategy projects involving multiple workstreams and complex, varied stakeholders.
Demonstrable strategic thinking abilities.
Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
Organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills.
