We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in Building Information Modelling (BIM) to join our team in Dubai, UAE. This full-time role focuses on designing, modeling, and coordinating electrical systems for a state-of-the-art PODs factory. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, efficient, and compliant electrical designs.

Job Overview
As an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in BIM, you will develop and optimize electrical systems, ensuring seamless integration into prefabricated structures. You will leverage advanced BIM tools to create and coordinate detailed 3D models, ensuring compliance with project-specific requirements and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems, using Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks.
- Create and manage BIM families, templates, and libraries to ensure project-specific compliance.
- Conduct electrical load calculations, circuiting, and component sizing.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to resolve design clashes and ensure smooth system integration.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and clash detection sessions.
- Prepare construction documents, including detailed plans, panel schedules, equipment lists, and cable tray layouts.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with NEC, IEC, and BS standards and UAE regulations.
- Work with the BIM Manager to implement and maintain BIM execution plans (BEP).
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure accurate as-built models.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and methodologies, identifying workflow improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering with a strong focus on BIM.
- Proven expertise in Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, or similar BIM software.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, power distribution, lighting design, and low-voltage systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of modular construction techniques and prefabrication processes.
