What Does a General Manager for Solar Power Projects Do?
As General Manager, you will lead the planning and execution of utility-scale solar energy projects in Afghanistan, working closely with Azizi’s executive team to align energy ventures with the company’s vision for sustainability and regional impact. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-performing solar infrastructure with long-term economic and environmental returns.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Identify investment opportunities and partnerships for solar projects in Afghanistan
- Conduct project feasibility studies, including technical, financial, and regulatory assessments
- Provide strategic advice to Azizi’s board on solar energy opportunities and risk management
- Oversee the setup, operations, and long-term management of solar power infrastructure
- Align solar energy projects with broader corporate strategy and regional development goals
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and local authorities on execution and compliance
- Guide cross-functional teams in achieving cost-effective and sustainable outcomes
- Monitor global trends and regulatory frameworks to inform project planning and innovation
- Represent Azizi at energy industry forums and policy discussions
What Skills Are Needed for a General Manager in Solar Energy?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
