Role Context
This role supports manufacturing operations by evaluating technical requirements, developing machining processes, and improving production efficiency. It plays a key role in RFQ support, feasibility analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives within precision engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Review customer drawings, specifications, and BOMs to assess manufacturing requirements
* Prepare machining cycle-time estimations for RFQ submissions
* Develop markup drawings and subcontracting scopes where required
* Evaluate in-house machining feasibility including deep-hole and gun drilling processes
* Provide technical guidance to sales, quality, and supply chain teams
* Liaise with stakeholders to clarify requirements and propose engineering solutions
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical manufacturing issues
* Prepare engineering documentation including process routing and reports
* Support HSE initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards
Ideal Profile
* Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
* Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining or precision engineering
* Strong knowledge of turning, milling, and deep-hole drilling processes
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
* Experience with ERP systems in manufacturing environments
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
