What Does a Production Planner Do?
A Production Planner ensures that manufacturing and procurement processes align with business goals, optimizing material planning, supply chain efficiency, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain production plans based on demand forecasts and supply chain constraints
- Ensure all production activities align with procurement strategies and business goals
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to optimize production capacity and minimize downtime
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) & Procurement
- Utilize MRP algorithms to plan and manage material availability
- Maintain SAP-based inventory and procurement data for accurate production scheduling
- Provide regular updates on future material strategies to optimize stock levels
Process Optimization & Reporting
- Monitor production KPIs to identify areas for efficiency improvement
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to streamline workflows
- Generate reports on production progress, inventory status, and material usage
What Qualifications & Skills Are Required for This Position?
- 2 to 5 years of experience in production planning, procurement, or manufacturing
- Strong understanding of MRP algorithms and SAP-based inventory management
- Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a relevant field
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
- Ability to analyze data and improve production planning processes
