Job Overview
NAFFCO is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Technical Support Engineer with expertise in Smoke Management Systems. The successful candidate will provide technical support to sales teams and customers, assisting in the specification, design, and implementation of smoke management solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions based on the capabilities of the smoke management system
- Offer pre-sales technical support to clients, including conducting product presentations, demonstrations, and providing product specifications
- Assist in creating and reviewing technical proposals, bid specifications, and system designs
- Respond to technical queries from customers, contractors, and consultants related to smoke management systems and other related products
- Provide technical guidance on system design, integration, and application of smoke management systems in various environments
- Collaborate with customers and engineers to configure and customize solutions that meet project-specific requirements
- Perform calculations and simulations to support the technical feasibility of proposed solutions, including airflow analysis and fan sizing
- Support sales efforts by preparing technical documentation, system configurations, and compliance reports
- Ensure that proposed solutions meet fire safety regulations and industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant certifications or courses in smoke management, fire safety, or HVAC systems will be an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support or sales engineering role, preferably in smoke management systems or a related field
- Strong understanding of smoke and heat venting systems, fire safety regulations, and HVAC systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with sales teams, customers, and engineers
- Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools related to airflow and fire safety systems
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, product demonstrations, and site visits (domestic/international, as required)
