Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying the quality and quantity of goods against purchase orders to maintain accuracy
- Organize and maintain the storage area, ensuring that items are properly labeled and easily accessible for efficient retrieval
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic stock checks to prevent shortages and discrepancies
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing processes
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of raw materials, spare parts, and finished goods
- Prepare and process documentation for stock movement, including goods received notes (GRN), issue slips, and inventory reports
- Implement best practices in warehouse safety, cleanliness, and organization to enhance efficiency
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory levels to management to prevent production delays
- Assist in conducting annual and periodic stock audits to ensure compliance with company policies
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to facilitate loading and unloading of materials
Required Skills and Experience
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in warehouse management or supply chain is a plus
Experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a storekeeper in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP software for tracking stock movements
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory tracking, and stock control procedures
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in material handling and storage
