DP World’s marine subsidiary, P&O Maritime Logistics, is seeking a skilled Corporate Technical Superintendent on a contract basis to oversee dry docking, maintenance, and technical operations across its global fleet. Based in Dubai with frequent travel, this role is key to ensuring the quality, cost-efficiency, and timely execution of vessel repairs and upgrades in alignment with operational and engineering standards.

Job Overview
The Corporate Technical Superintendent will act as the Assigned Technical Superintendent (ATS) for allocated dry docking projects. Responsibilities include preparing detailed docking specifications, liaising with procurement for spares and vendors, managing subcontractors, and supporting yard operations globally. The role is central to cost control, technical documentation, maintenance tracking (via PMS/NSE), and ensuring that repairs meet classification and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead planning and execution of dry dockings, surveys, major engine overhauls, and technical upgrades
* Collaborate with BU technical teams to draft precise job and docking specifications
* Work with Corporate Procurement to source cost-effective, compatible spare parts and equipment
* Travel to global sites and vessels to supervise and coordinate repairs and contractor performance
* Liaise with insurance stakeholders and support technical claim documentation
* Participate in root cause investigations for technical breakdowns
* Monitor dry dock schedules and budgets; report variances and recommend corrective actions
* Support tender evaluations, vendor selection, and project cost control
* Provide daily technical and operational progress updates to BU leadership
* Ensure accurate repair records and updates in the PMS (AMOS, NSE)
* Review and improve planned maintenance effectiveness and crew compliance

Job Requirements

* Marine Engineering Class 1 Motor Certificate (or Class 2 with significant experience), OR
* Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical/Electromechanical disciplines
* Minimum 5 years of shore-based experience in dry docking or technical superintendent roles
* Sea experience as Chief Engineer on offshore support vessels
* Strong knowledge of class society standards (ABS, DNV-GL, BV)
* Familiarity with AMOS, NSE, or similar planned maintenance systems
* Ability to interpret CAD technical drawings and work within cross-functional engineering environments
* Strong communication, leadership, and report-writing abilities
* Willingness to travel internationally as required by project scope
