Job Purpose:
We are seeking an Energy Management Specialist who will play a pivotal role in developing, designing, and advising on our Energy Management System. This position is vital for enhancing energy performance for our ocean-going vessels, ensuring compliance with national and international maritime regulations, and aligning our operating principles with industry standards. The successful candidate will monitor and analyze energy usage, manage fleet performance KPIs, and provide advanced technical expertise in energy optimization and management. You will lead energy certifications for ADNOC’s L&S Fleets globally, implementing energy-saving measures and ensuring compliance with environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze hull and propeller performance using data from automated logging units and daily reports.
- Monitor non-propulsion energy use and auxiliary boiler operations for accurate energy consumption tracking.
- Prepare and publish daily and monthly energy performance reports across all significant energy-using assets.
- Identify operational improvement areas and ensure adherence to best energy practices.
- Oversee energy efficiency improvement projects, ensuring timely benefits and actions.
- Develop and maintain the Energy Management System to comply with international certification standards.
- Conduct energy audits and implement technical improvements and retrofitting activities.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, classification societies, and industry stakeholders to ensure compliance with current standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience: At least 5 years in energy management, with significant technical experience in the maritime industry and proven track record in managing energy optimization projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of energy systems, renewable technologies, and energy efficiency measures. Experience in advanced analytics and machine learning for energy optimization.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to convey technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Professional Certifications:
- Preferred certifications include Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or similar credentials.
