Role Context
This role supports fleet-wide IT operations by ensuring reliable systems, secure communications, and responsive technical support across vessels. It plays a critical role in maintaining uptime, improving infrastructure performance, and strengthening cybersecurity practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as primary liaison with ICT teams and external vendors for technical operations
* Provide troubleshooting and IT support across vessel systems and onboard applications
* Maintain reliability and performance of IT infrastructure including hardware and connectivity
* Install, configure, and maintain onboard systems and communication equipment
* Support satellite communication systems including VSAT and related technologies
* Contribute to fleet IT projects and continuous system improvements
* Identify cybersecurity risks and implement preventive controls and policies
* Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and fleet IT databases
Ideal Profile
* Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* Experience in maritime or vessel IT systems preferred
* Knowledge of networking, firewalls, and managed switches
* Experience with Windows Server and virtualization technologies
* Understanding of cybersecurity practices and incident management
* Flexible with travel and extended working hours when required
