Key Responsibilities
Relay orders from the Marine Department to vessels, boats, and mooring gangs
Coordinate movements and communicate directives to Marine Pilots
Manage efficient scheduling and utilization of mooring gangs and tugs
Serve as the primary communication link between Port Control and DP World\'s marine services
Maintain ongoing communication with external parties to ensure operational safety
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed by management
Log and communicate emergencies, incidents, or accidents, adhering to DP World procedures
Immediately report asset breakdowns to the Technical Department
Monitor vessel positions and speeds within port limits
Collaborate with the Technical Team on emergency breakdowns and planned maintenance
Collect and distribute incident-related data to the UAE Incidents email list
HSSEQ Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with DP World\'s HSSEQ policies and standards
Implement Emergency Response and Business Continuity Plans
Manage risk and adhere to Control of Work processes, including Permit to Work and Lock out/Tag out
Promote proactive safety initiatives like Stop Work Authority and Safety Observation Card System
Maintain accurate records to comply with ISO 45001:2018, 14001:2015, 9001:2015, ISM, MLC, and ISPS standards
Address safety hazards promptly to maintain a safe working environment
Required Skills and Experience
Diploma or Degree in Nautical Science, Marine Transportation, or Maritime Studies
Minimum STCW II/1 Officer of the Watch Certificate of Competency
VHF Radio Communication Certificate (e.g., GMDSS ROC or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of marine operations, vessel types, port layouts, and navigation principles
Proficiency in Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) systems or port control software
High computer literacy with monitoring systems, reporting tools, and communication platforms
2-5 years of experience in port operations, marine traffic coordination, or vessel scheduling
Prior experience in logistics, terminal operations, or marine support services is a plus
