Procurement Officer - Marine Fleet and Logistics Purchasing (Dubai, UAE)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Procurement Officer to manage sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination for marine fleet operations in Dubai. This full-time role involves handling end-to-end procurement for vessels and divisional needs, overseeing requisitions, RFQs, purchase orders, vendor evaluation, and international logistics. Candidates with marine purchasing experience and a focus on cost-effective sourcing are ideal for this role.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage procurement for assigned vessels and divisions across the organization
* Process fleet requisitions, request for quotations (RFQs), and purchase orders
* Monitor delivery timelines and provide updates to stakeholders and vessel management teams
* Identify, assess, and approve suppliers; maintain compliance with quality and cost expectations
* Analyze vendor quotations and prepare comparison summaries with recommendations for approval
* Ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods and services, including customs clearance and overseas logistics
* Support frame agreement development for regularly procured items and supplier performance tracking
* Create and maintain supplier qualification databases; initiate account setup after approvals
* Monitor and report on supplier performance, advising management on sourcing improvements
* Resolve invoice discrepancies in coordination with the finance department
* Review open requisition and PO reports, ensuring compliance with procurement KPIs
* Assist the procurement manager with ongoing sourcing strategies and cost-saving initiatives
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
* Experience in marine or industrial procurement, preferably in the port, shipping, or logistics sector
* Strong understanding of sourcing processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation
* Familiarity with international shipping, import/export regulations, and customs processes
* Ability to manage multiple procurement cycles and vendor relationships effectively
* Excellent coordination, communication, and analytical skills
