The Senior Principal Equipment and Machinery Specialist serves as a subject-matter expert for marine electrical and mechanical systems. The
position influences program direction, resource allocation, technical policies, and equipment strategies while supporting EPCI projects, offshore activities, and marine operations throughout the asset lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the marine function\'s technical authority for equipment and machinery.
* Apply advanced marine engineering knowledge to equipment used in offshore and marine operations.
* Interpret marine regulations, technical standards, and industry guidelines.
* Recommend practical compliance measures that support safe and uninterrupted project execution.
* Identify complex marine equipment challenges and develop innovative technical solutions.
* Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
* Conduct equipment and operational risk assessments.
* Develop mitigation plans for safe and efficient marine activities.
* Lead marine specialists and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
* Plan and execute marine work within approved schedules and budgets.
* Provide technical support throughout the project and asset lifecycle.
* Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems affecting marine systems.
* Develop practical solutions that minimize equipment downtime.
