Position Overview
We are hiring an experienced Tug Engineer to support daily marine operations at Dubai’s leading port facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining and servicing tugboat engines, executing preventive maintenance routines, and ensuring safe, efficient vessel performance in port and harbor operations. If you have experience with dual-fuel diesel engines and a strong mechanical background in port environments, this is a high-demand opportunity in one of the region\'s top maritime sectors.

What You’ll Do
* Oversee daily machinery operations on tugboats, ensuring reliable engine performance
* Monitor faults and alert the Tug Fleet Foreman to prevent costly disruptions or damage
* Perform both scheduled and unscheduled repairs, including engine oil changes, filter cleaning, and leak detection
* Manage engine spare parts inventory and raise material requests as required
* Execute preventive maintenance routines (PMS) in line with company standards
* Maintain engine room cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness at all times
* Inspect and verify quality of materials used, reporting any damage or non-conformities
* Maintain positive collaboration with foremen, supervisors, and port staff
* Attend training programs to upgrade technical knowledge and meet compliance standards
* Ensure all work is completed on time and aligned with department targets
* Follow safety protocols and contribute to housekeeping within work zones
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum 12th Grade education in science stream; Degree preferred
* STCW.3 (Engine) restricted certification required
* Marine technical diploma (optional but preferred)
* 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Tug Engineer in a port or harbor setting
* Strong working knowledge of dual-fuel diesel engine systems
* Familiarity with maritime maintenance standards and marine safety compliance
