We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and systems, coupled with hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The role requires a keen attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of diesel engines.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and vehicles according to schedules.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and software.
Repair and replace defective parts, components, or systems.
Conduct tests on engines and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Complete service reports, documenting all work performed.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
Technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and software effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy parts and equipment.
Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program is preferred.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
ASE Diesel Certification or similar professional certification.
Experience working with a variety of diesel engines (e.g., trucks, construction equipment).
Knowledge of EPA regulations and emissions control systems.
