Follow and promote Safety and Security policies in ports/terminals and ensure that fellow employees and visitors are doing the same.
Carry out equipment maintenance, units disassembling, and parts inspection for wear for STS, RTG, RMG, Mobile Harbor Cranes, Terminal Tractors, Forklifts, Trailers and other port and facilities related equipment.
Support to install, request and manufacture tools, machines, engines, and other products or devices in the ports/terminals.
Handle the equipment testing and recording of results to the manager in charge.
Ensure maximum operational availability of equipment and ensure repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner with consideration given to quality of work and longevity of equipment.
Report emergency work and workmanship issues to the manager in charge.
Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of workshop facilities and all equipment he/she is responsible for.

QUALIFICATIONS
Secondary School or above.
Additional training in mechanical fields in any Port or heavy equipment industry is highly required.
Ability to communicate in English (Speaking/Reading).
Arabic is preferred and any additional languages would be deemed an advantage.
A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
Proven hands on experience for mechanical trouble shooting, basic fault analysis
Experience with transmissions, gearboxes, wire rope systems, engines.
