Role Context
The Consultant Dermatologist will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients with medical and cosmetic dermatology needs. The role supports better patient outcomes by combining clinical expertise, advanced treatment techniques, preventive skin care education, and collaborative care for patients with routine, chronic, or complex dermatological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and treat a wide range of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, pigmentation concerns, infections, allergic skin disorders, and suspected skin cancer
* Perform detailed skin examinations, clinical assessments, dermatoscopy where required, and skin biopsies
* Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient history, diagnosis, skin type, clinical risks, and expected outcomes
* Administer specialist dermatology treatments, including chemical peels, laser therapy, phototherapy, and other approved skin procedures
* Provide evidence-based advice on skincare routines, preventive care, treatment recovery, and long-term skin health
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage complex skin conditions and patients requiring multidisciplinary care
* Keep updated with developments in dermatology research, clinical techniques, diagnostic tools, and treatment protocols
* Maintain accurate patient records, consent forms, treatment notes, and follow-up documentation in line with clinic standards
* Train, guide, and supervise medical staff, including resident physicians, nurses, and clinical support teams
* Maintain a professional, empathetic, and patient-centered approach in every consultation and procedure
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from an accredited institution
* Board certification in Dermatology
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Consultant Dermatologist
* Western education or Western clinical training is required
* Strong knowledge of medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, skin cancer screening, and advanced treatment options
* Practical experience with skin examinations, biopsies, chemical peels, laser therapy, phototherapy, and patient treatment planning
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a calm, professional approach to patient care
* Strong leadership and organizational ability for supervising medical staff and supporting smooth clinic operations
* Ability to work with diverse patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
