Role Context
The Consultant - IVF and Fertility Medicine will manage patients and couples seeking fertility support, from initial assessment through treatment planning, monitoring, procedures, and follow-up care. The role supports successful fertility outcomes by combining advanced clinical knowledge, accurate diagnostic review, ethical decision-making, and close collaboration with embryologists, obstetricians, geneticists, psychologists, nurses, and junior medical staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed fertility consultations to review medical history, reproductive concerns, previous investigations, and treatment goals
* Prepare individualized treatment plans for infertility, reproductive endocrinology, IVF, and assisted reproductive technology cases
* Perform IVF procedures with clinical precision, including egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and coordination of sperm preparation processes
* Monitor patients during fertility treatment cycles through medication review, ultrasound evaluations, and response assessment
* Interpret diagnostic tests, hormonal profiles, imaging findings, and fertility investigations to guide safe clinical decisions
* Work closely with obstetricians, embryologists, geneticists, psychologists, nurses, and other specialists to provide coordinated fertility care
* Explain fertility options, treatment stages, procedure risks, expected outcomes, and follow-up plans in a clear and compassionate manner
* Apply advanced ART techniques such as ICSI, embryo biopsy, and related reproductive procedures where clinically suitable
* Guide nurses, embryologists, and junior doctors on clinical protocols, patient care flow, and reproductive medicine best practices
* Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow UAE healthcare, ethical, and clinic compliance standards
* Support research activity, clinical audits, quality improvement work, and continuous advancement of reproductive medicine services
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree such as MD or equivalent from a recognized institution
* Board certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
* Minimum 5 years of experience performing IVF and advanced reproductive procedures
* Strong clinical experience in fertility assessment, IVF cycles, assisted reproductive technology, and reproductive endocrinology
* Proficiency in ICSI, embryo biopsy, embryo transfer, egg retrieval, and advanced ART techniques
* Eligibility for relevant UAE healthcare licensing is preferred
* Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume fertility center while maintaining patient safety and treatment quality
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supporting patients through sensitive fertility decisions
* Strong teamwork approach with embryology, obstetrics, genetics, psychology, nursing, and laboratory teams
