The Consultant Physician - IVF will provide expert reproductive medicine services for patients seeking fertility support, combining clinical assessment, diagnostic interpretation, IVF treatment management, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The role contributes to patient confidence, treatment safety, ethical fertility care, and successful clinical outcomes by guiding couples through each stage of their fertility journey with clarity and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed fertility consultations, review patient history, and assess reproductive health concerns
* Develop individualized treatment plans for infertility, IVF, reproductive endocrinology, and assisted reproductive procedures
* Perform IVF-related procedures, including egg retrieval, sperm preparation coordination, and embryo transfer
* Monitor patients throughout treatment cycles, including ultrasound evaluations, medication protocols, and response tracking
* Interpret fertility investigations, hormonal profiles, imaging results, and diagnostic tests to support treatment decisions
* Collaborate with obstetricians, embryologists, geneticists, psychologists, nurses, and laboratory teams to deliver holistic fertility care
* Educate patients and couples on fertility options, treatment stages, procedural risks, expected outcomes, and follow-up requirements
* Apply advanced assisted reproductive techniques such as ICSI, embryo biopsy, and related ART procedures where clinically appropriate
* Provide guidance and training to nurses, embryologists, junior doctors, and clinical support staff
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow UAE healthcare, ethical, and fertility clinic standards
* Participate in research, clinical audits, governance activities, and quality improvement initiatives within reproductive medicine
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree such as MD or equivalent from a recognized medical institution
* Board certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
* Minimum 5 years of experience performing IVF and advanced reproductive medicine procedures
* Strong practical expertise in IVF, ICSI, embryo transfer, egg retrieval, embryo biopsy, and assisted reproductive technologies
* Eligibility for relevant UAE healthcare licensing is preferred
* Strong understanding of fertility diagnostics, reproductive endocrinology, and individualized treatment protocols
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume fertility center
* Excellent communication skills with a sensitive, patient-centered approach to fertility counselling
* Strong collaboration skills for working with embryology, obstetrics, genetics, psychology, and nursing teams
