Role Context
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this position
acts as the financial partner to executive, clinical and operational leadership. It goes beyond statutory reporting by connecting patient activity, physician productivity, payer economics and service-line performance with financial outcomes. The Head of Finance will shape investment decisions, improve profitability and establish the governance needed to support responsible healthcare expansion.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial performance management across clinics, diagnostic services and healthcare business units.
* Partner with operational and clinical leaders to strengthen profitability and resource efficiency.
* Analyze patient volumes, revenue trends, physician productivity and service-line contribution.
* Evaluate payer mix and identify its impact on revenue, margins and cash generation.
* Translate financial and operational data into practical recommendations for executive leadership.
* Direct annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and long-range financial planning.
* Develop financial models for new clinics, expanded services and hospital initiatives.
* Prepare commercially grounded business cases for healthcare investments.
* Assess strategic growth proposals, expected returns, funding needs and financial risks.
* Support service development decisions with demand, capacity and profitability analysis.
* Lead monthly management reporting and financial performance reviews.
* Establish consistent healthcare key performance indicators across operating locations.
* Identify financial underperformance and work with business leaders on corrective action.
* Strengthen financial controls, approval processes and governance standards.
* Maintain readiness for internal review, statutory reporting and external audit.
* Oversee compliance with applicable financial and corporate requirements.
* Manage external audit relationships and coordinate timely completion of required submissions.
* Contribute financial leadership to risk-management and business-continuity planning.
* Advise the Managing Director on financial strategy, investments and operational priorities.
* Build, mentor and retain a high-performing healthcare finance team.
* Promote accountability, commercial awareness and constructive business partnership.
* Coordinate effectively with physicians, executives and corporate stakeholders.
Ideal Profile
Candidates must hold a bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline. A recognized professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA or CFA is required. Applicants should have at least ten years of progressive finance experience, including a minimum of five years in a senior leadership capacity.
Direct experience supporting healthcare delivery organizations is essential. Suitable backgrounds include hospitals, medical centers, clinic networks, healthcare groups, day-surgery facilities or other multi-site provider operations. Candidates whose experience is limited to banking, manufacturing, retail, construction, audit or corporate planning without healthcare operations exposure will not meet the role\'s core requirement.
