Receive patients into admitting booth with a positive friendly approach and attitude.
Perform administrative duties including bookings, answering telephones, compiling of discharges.
Inform patients of payment procedures, clarifying medical aid / private fee split.
Inform private patients of the deposit to be paid and that the balance of their account is to be settled on discharge.
Respect the confidentiality of patients, visitors and doctors� requirements, addressing their needs with maturity and concern.
Accept deposits and issuing of receipts and ensuring security of monies by placing in the drop safe � refer to Cash Policy.
Administration controls relating to Cash Collections.
Must be able to work under pressure, independently and unsupervised.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of manual bulletin with the Unit Manager and the relevant Case Managers.
Provide support to case manager regarding special items required for the admission to ensure items used are authorised by medical aid.
Ensure census Report is Printed Daily at Ward Level
Stock Reconciliation.
Participate in stock take and stock counts.
Ensure correct details of a patient are captured when entering chit forms.
Ensure all items are billed to prevent stock variances.
Meeting and greeting visitors, and directing them to their meeting or appointment.
Attending to patients / customers / visitors both telephonically and in person.
Assist unit manager and/ team leader with administrative / clerical and secretarial duties.
Develop and maintain key working and professional relationship with all stakeholders including doctors, patients, Senior management.
Assisting patients to accurately complete appropriate forms and documents for the required information.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12/Matric certificate.
Computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel, emails, and scanning).
3 to 5 Years in Hospital Environment.
Preferably have Behavioral experience.
Preferably have Delta 9 experience.
Preferably have a tertiary qualification in administration.
Ability to function well under pressure.
