Plug changes, portable electrical equipment and basic plant room and vehicle checks, lightbulb changes, paint touch ups and hanging of frames and cylinder changes as directed by Hospital Manager.
Notify Hospital Manager of occurring deficiencies or need for repairs.
Perform general cleaning of car park areas, plant and waste rooms, accessible windows and maintenance of small garden.
Weeding and grass cutting.
Accompanying and assisting on-site contractors, pest control and waste removal.
Must keep accurate records pertaining to repairs and cleaning schedules.
Maintaining inventory of necessary parts, cleaning supplies and other materials needed to perform job duties.
REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of Grade 10 or a relevant qualification.
A valid driver’s license will be an advantage.
Previous basic maintenance or technical experience in a hospital environment will be an advantage.
Experience in Medical Waste Management.
The ability to adherence to infection control measures.
Good accuracy and attention to detail skills in order to maintain high standards in work output.
Maintains co-operative working relationships in order to achieve work goals.
The ability to adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Exhibits full responsibility for own work outputs.
