**Job Purpose**
Lead the Energy Management concepts, framework, and knowledge across all company assets and operations to ensure compliance with the Energy Management System, ISO 50001, ADNOC COP, and international best practices. As the Energy Technical Authority, provide expert advice on energy-related aspects during design, construction, commissioning, and operations for current and proposed projects.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Analyze fuel consumption, energy use, and emissions data to generate insights and recommendations for improvement and compliance.
- Prepare reports on compliance status, emission levels, and energy performance using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Conduct regular audits of fleet and department documentation to ensure industry compliance.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote energy efficiency initiatives.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and industry stakeholders to ensure alignment with standards and foster continuous improvement.
**Job Specific Accountabilities 1**
- Serve as the primary contact for communication with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely documentation submission.
- Provide strategic, data-driven advice for continuous improvement and compliance.
- Monitor regulatory changes from organizations like the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
- Conduct assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement necessary measures for new regulations.
- Evaluate the impact of regulations on operations, providing strategic advice for compliance with standards like the Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) and Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII).
- Develop detailed plans for compliance with port-specific regulations, such as EU and UK MRV.
**Job Specific Accountabilities 2**
- Manage emissions data verification and reporting to authorities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee document management to maintain current and accessible records for audits.
- Conduct training on new regulations and energy efficiency practices tailored to various roles.
- Represent the organization at industry forums and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Support ad-hoc tasks and assist the Team Leader in coordinating Energy Efficiency & Optimization department activities.
**Minimum Qualification**
Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
Preferred: Advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
**Experience, Knowledge & Skills**
- 5 years in energy management with advisory experience in the maritime industry.
- Expertise in energy optimization and regulatory compliance.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Power BI and Microsoft Excel for energy performance monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders and presenting technical reports.
- Familiarity with energy management software and data analytics tools.
**Professional Certifications**
Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or similar certification; ISO 50001 Lead Auditor Certification.
