Commissioning Engineer – Oil and Gas Projects – Abu Dhabi, UAE
Position Overview
ADNOC is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to supervise project commissioning and support services for new facilities and plant modifications in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with ADNOC regulations and international best practices, while coordinating closely with contractors, vendors, and operations teams.

Core Duties
* Plan and coordinate all commissioning activities with contractors, vendors, and the commissioning team.
* Ensure safe commissioning by enforcing ADNOC’s work permit procedures, including requirements for blanking, purging, and site audits.
* Provide technical support during commissioning phases, addressing plant operating issues and material requirements.
* Align commissioning schedules with operations to ensure seamless integration and faultless project handover.
* Interface with project, inspection, and operations teams to organize FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SAT (Site Acceptance Tests).
* Monitor execution schedules and assess potential impacts on ongoing operations.
* Prepare reports and documentation for commissioning progress, safety, and compliance.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* Minimum 8 years’ experience in project engineering and commissioning within oil and gas projects.
* Strong understanding of commissioning practices, safety standards, and project integration.
* Proven ability to coordinate with contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Familiar with FAT and SAT procedures and their application in oil and gas projects.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
