Position Overview
Corrosion Engineer Abu Dhabi UAE Oil and Energy industry role with ADNOC Group focused on designing and implementing corrosion control strategies, supporting metallurgical assessments, and enhancing asset integrity across production facilities. This role plays a vital part in minimizing failure risks and improving operational efficiency through advanced corrosion management practices.

Core Duties

* Develop and implement corrosion control policies and asset integrity strategies
* Analyze corrosion and process data to identify risks and optimize operations
* Lead corrosion-related incident investigations and provide technical recommendations
* Design and enhance engineering tools, standards, and methodologies for corrosion management
* Supervise corrosion monitoring programs and inspection activities across facilities
* Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and partners to resolve corrosion challenges
* Support material selection and corrosion mitigation strategies for projects and operations
* Participate in evaluation and selection of engineering contractors and service providers
* Conduct bid reviews and technical assessments for corrosion-related systems and services
* Contribute to operating strategy development considering corrosion risk and safety
* Lead medium to large-scale corrosion projects and ensure timely execution
* Provide coaching and technical guidance to enhance organizational corrosion expertise

Required Skills and Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
* Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or chemical industries
* At least 5 years of hands-on experience in corrosion monitoring and management systems
* Strong knowledge of corrosion prediction, modelling tools, and monitoring techniques
* Experience in material selection and asset integrity programs
* Familiarity with international corrosion standards and best practices
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
* Ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional coordination
