Role Context
Subsurface corrosion can reduce well life, threaten containment and disrupt offshore production. This

position will integrate well data, corrosion evidence, flow modelling and oilfield chemistry to diagnose integrity threats and select effective controls. The engineer will work closely with field operations, well-integrity specialists, laboratories, suppliers and service companies while providing technical guidance during critical site activities.

Key Responsibilities
Recommendations must be supported by reliable field evidence, suitable engineering analysis and the requirements of the Corrosion Management System.

* Advise on corrosion affecting completion strings, casing and surface conductors.
* Assess integrity risks involving wellheads and Christmas-tree valves.
* Develop approaches for corrosion prediction, monitoring, prevention and control.
* Identify downhole corrosion through produced-water analysis, coupons and caliper logs.
* Design chemical and mechanical programs for investigation, treatment or prevention.
* Review corrosion-logging, caliper-survey and downhole-coupon information.
* Verify acquired data quality before using results for integrity decisions.
* Examine new and modified technologies for managing subsurface corrosion.
* Evaluate whether emerging techniques are suitable for offshore well environments.
* Define scopes of work and testing criteria for downhole chemical selection.
* Establish efficiency, compatibility and core-flood testing requirements.
* Monitor chemical field trials and evaluate results against strict performance criteria.
* Recommend chemicals suitable for sustained downhole application.
* Audit implementation programs for compliance with Corrosion Management System practices.
* Perform downhole tubular-flow calculations using ECE, OLGA and comparable software.
* Predict pressure, temperature, fluid velocity, flow regime and wall shear.
* Apply modelling results to corrosion-rate assessment and treatment planning.
* Advise on material selection for downhole oil and gas applications.
* Review corrosion-management outputs and identify substandard practices or performance.
* Recommend corrective measures when monitoring or control programs are ineffective.
* Conduct specialist studies into complex corrosion problems affecting subsurface components.
* Diagnose multidimensional integrity issues and propose technically appropriate solutions.
* Prepare performance reports covering corrosion monitoring, inspection and control.
* Complete internal studies that improve downhole corrosion-management efficiency.
* Present conclusions and recommended actions to management.
* Maintain technical relationships with chemical suppliers and service-company engineers.
* Assess the adaptability and operational value of new corrosion technologies.
* Review asset-development plans and identify future study or assessment needs.
* Support laboratory analysis of corrosion deposits and produced-water chemistry.
* Participate in risk assessments and job-safety analyses for critical or non-routine work.
* Coordinate assigned activities and develop staff knowledge in corrosion-management practices.
* Contribute to budgets, work plans, management reports and performance objectives.
* Maintain compliance with applicable HSE, ISO and ADNOC technical requirements.

Ideal Profile
Candidates must hold a Bachelor\'s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or an equivalent discipline and possess five to six years of relevant professional experience.

Strong knowledge of well construction, completion design and operational integrity is required. Applicants should understand workovers and well-intervention activities, including slickline and wireline operations, logging, fishing, bull-heading and coiled-tubing work, preferably in an offshore environment.

Expertise in oilfield chemistry should cover organic and inorganic scales, water analysis, solubility and deposit-evaluation reports. Knowledge of production operations, well testing, reservoir engineering, commercial matters and tendering will support effective performance. Clear technical writing ability is essential. No professional certification is specified.
