What You’ll Do
* Provide consultancy cost estimating services to operating divisions and evaluate contract variations.
* Participate in feasibility studies, life cycle cost analysis, and project risk assessments.
* Forecast and prepare project cost outlooks across multiple classes and methodologies.
* Develop project cost estimates for capital projects, modifications, and major maintenance schemes.
* Prepare cost estimates using historical data, market trends, or first-principles analysis of resources.
* Review consultant-prepared cost estimates and consolidate with indirect owner’s costs to form project budgets.
* Evaluate construction methods and logistics to create accurate activity-duration cost estimates.
* Provide recommendations on the most economical implementation strategies.
* Support project teams with bid evaluations, negotiations, and contract variation approvals.
* Perform customized cost risk analyses using specialized software and simulations.
* Study project execution, procurement, and contracting strategies to allocate appropriate budget breakdowns.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a degree in Accounting/Finance with relevant cost control experience.
* At least 6 years of cost estimating and project cost management experience in the oil and gas industry.
* Strong knowledge of cost estimating techniques, engineering economics, and project cost risk analysis.
* Ability to analyze project execution plans, procurement methods, and construction strategies.
* Skilled in feasibility studies, budget preparation, and project cost outlooks.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in cost analysis software and project management tools is an advantage.
