Role Context
This role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted plant operations by leading electrical maintenance activities, optimizing asset performance, and implementing best-in-class engineering practices. It directly contributes to safety, reliability, and efficiency of electrical systems across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain electrical maintenance policies, procedures, and standards
* Ensure compliance with corporate and industry electrical safety and maintenance guidelines
* Manage preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities
* Plan and coordinate major shutdowns, overhauls, and maintenance schedules
* Monitor work order quality and ensure adherence to maintenance strategies
* Lead asset replacement planning for electrical systems and equipment
* Analyze failure reports and conduct root cause analysis to improve performance
* Resolve critical electrical breakdowns to ensure safe and continuous operations
* Oversee electrical workshop activities including testing, calibration, and repairs
* Lead plant modification initiatives through engineering studies and change requests
* Provide technical support during project execution and electrical system integration
* Maintain and update electrical safety rules and ensure compliance across operations
* Coordinate with external entities for power grid operations and high voltage activities
* Manage contractor performance and oversee maintenance service agreements
* Approve purchase requisitions and manage material requirements
Ideal Profile
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems in oil and gas or industrial plants
* Experience in maintenance and repair of generators, transformers, switchgear, and motors
* Proven leadership experience in managing maintenance teams and contractors
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
* Strong decision-making skills with attention to detail
