Role Context

The SEN Teacher will help ensure that


the school\'s inclusion policy is implemented consistently across all phases. The position will provide targeted academic, behavioural, and developmental support based on each student\'s strengths, needs, and learning profile.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, School Counsellor, class teachers, Learning Support Assistants, parents, and external specialists. Accurate assessment, individualized planning, progress tracking, and coordinated intervention will be central to the role.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure the objectives of the school\'s inclusion policy framework are reflected across all school phases.
* Assess students\' academic, behavioural, communication, and developmental needs.
* Develop appropriate teaching plans based on assessment findings.
* Create Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
* Implement IEP targets through structured and measurable learning activities.
* Adapt curriculum content, teaching methods, classroom resources, and assessments to meet individual needs.
* Plan and assign activities matched to each student\'s abilities and learning goals.
* Monitor student performance and maintain accurate records of progress.
* Record learning data for students of determination and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
* Review and update IEPs according to student progress and emerging needs.
* Provide individual, small-group, and in-class learning support.
* Work with class teachers to develop inclusive teaching strategies.
* Support students with academic, social, emotional, behavioural, or communication challenges.
* Discuss student progress with parents, teachers, counsellors, administrators, and school leaders.
* Prepare clear progress reports and recommendations for future support.
* Mentor and guide Learning Support Assistants working with students who have additional needs.
* Help LSAs apply appropriate support strategies and maintain consistent documentation.
* Participate in student review meetings, inclusion meetings, and multidisciplinary planning.
* Support transitions between classes, phases, or learning programmes.
* Maintain confidentiality of student records and sensitive family information.
* Follow school safeguarding, child protection, inclusion, and professional conduct policies.
* Contribute to staff training and awareness related to inclusive education.
* Liaise with external specialists and support services when required.

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Special Education.
* Alternatively, a Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Psychology with relevant teaching experience.
* Previous SEN teaching or special education experience is required.
* Experience working in an inclusive school environment is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans.
* Ability to assess student needs and develop suitable intervention strategies.
* Experience adapting curriculum and assessment for individual learners.
* Understanding of students of determination and inclusive education practices.
* Ability to analyse learning data and monitor measurable progress.
* Strong communication skills for working with parents, teachers, counsellors, and school leaders.
* Experience mentoring Learning Support Assistants is advantageous.
* Patient, empathetic, organized, and attentive to individual student needs.
* Strong commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
* Must currently be based in the United Arab Emirates.
* Must be available to join immediately.
