Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Instrumentation and Control Technician in the UAE


Join our dynamic team as a Senior Technician, I-C, where your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our plant operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to conduct instrumentation and control maintenance for various equipment, ensuring they operate smoothly and effectively according to high-quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Maintenance Execution**
- Execute assigned tasks following risk assessments and adhere to ADNOC HSE procedures.
- Perform scheduled predictive, preventative, and proactive maintenance on plant equipment as per approved procedures to ensure optimal operating conditions and compliance with international standards.
- Independently troubleshoot and conduct corrective maintenance on all types of equipment with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively regarding assigned tasks and log time in SAP for all activities performed.
- Provide technical feedback in SAP notifications for completed jobs.
- Conduct routine inspections, observing equipment status for abnormalities and reporting defects to the relevant line.
- Assist in major and minor repairs during critical equipment shutdowns, maintaining a detailed log of all jobs.
- Propose improvement ideas to enhance HSE, maintenance programs, and equipment reliability.
- Support commissioning and pre-commissioning activities for new projects.
- Assist plant operations during emergencies, shutdowns, and start-ups.
- Participate in the company’s on-call system for handling unplanned shutdowns and process upsets.
- Operate, repair, and perform functional testing of lifting equipment to recognized standards.
- Conduct condition monitoring checks on machinery and report any malfunctions or defects to the immediate engineer.
- Oversee new installations, modifications, and testing of equipment, ensuring adherence to technical instructions before handover to operations.
- Troubleshoot and isolate faulty components on rotating and static equipment using manufacturers’ manuals and diagrams.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul on all rotating and static equipment.

**Workshop & Spare Parts Management**
- Manage the electrical workshop, ensuring all electrical equipment and testing tools are maintained per OEM recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace, complying with all HSE and fire safety regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors to examine faulty equipment, determining the scope of work and necessary tools and spare parts before job commencement.
- Identify required spare parts for maintenance work from manufacturers’ drawings and spare parts lists.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Diploma or equivalent technical qualifications in Instrument & Control Discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of a wide range of equipment in oil/gas or petrochemical industries.
- Familiarity with electrical plant safety procedures and maintenance quality records.
- Proficient communication and technical report writing skills in English.
- Thorough knowledge of HSE requirements for field maintenance jobs.
- Hands-on experience with SAP basic operations and computerized maintenance tools.
- Skilled in inspecting and testing equipment and circuits to identify malfunctions using wiring diagrams and testing devices.
- Extensive experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of control valves and transmitters.
- Working knowledge of field instrument calibration and HART communicator devices.
- Understanding of software for MCMS, DCS, PLC, and ESD.
- Ability to utilize documentation and reporting procedures for abnormal conditions.
- Familiarity with operation and maintenance manuals and engineering documents/drawings to troubleshoot and optimize equipment functioning.
