Role Context
This role provides early-career exposure to mechanical field engineering, technical drafting, and project documentation. The technician will perform routine assignments according to established engineering
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the preparation of detailed mechanical drawings and project deliverables.
* Produce clear, consistent, and technically accurate drafting work that supports construction activities.
* Develop practical experience in mechanical design and 2D drafting.
* Apply fundamental technical knowledge to routine engineering assignments.
* Learn the contract scope, project specifications, schedule, and interdisciplinary requirements.
* Support the preparation of detailed design drawings.
* Assist with producing and updating as-built drawings.
* Maintain an organized filing system for drawings and technical documents.
* Follow established engineering, quality, and safety procedures.
* Coordinate assigned work with designers and other project team members.
* Keep the Lead Designer and Senior Designer informed about activities, progress, and technical concerns.
* Complete assigned tasks within the required quality standards and deadlines.
* Develop proficiency in the drafting tools and working methods used by the project team.
Ideal Profile
* High school qualification with a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, drafting, or a related discipline.
* Equivalent technical experience may be considered.
* Entry-level candidates with appropriate drafting education are encouraged to apply.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD or comparable technical drafting software.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
* Willingness to learn design procedures, drafting standards, and project requirements.
