Finance Manager - Concession Reporting in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is an Oil and Energy hiring opportunity for a finance professional experienced in shareholder reporting, concession accounting, joint venture financial controls, IFRS compliance, SAP reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis. This role supports accurate financial governance, transparent shareholder communication, and timely reporting across concession-related activities.
Role Context
The Finance Manager - Concession Reporting will manage and coordinate shareholder and concession financial reporting activities to ensure accuracy, transparency, and full compliance with ADNOC Accounting Guidelines, IFRS standards, and contractual agreements. The role has direct business impact by supporting joint venture finance activities, cash calls, billing statements, governance committee communication, audit readiness, financial performance insights, and stronger reporting controls across concession operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage shareholder and concession financial reporting activities in line with ADNOC Accounting Guidelines, IFRS, and contractual requirements.
* Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports, cash calls, billing statements, reconciliations, and shareholder reporting packs within agreed timelines.
* Validate cost optimization initiatives and value creation activities across concession operations, including Project Light and AIDT-related initiatives.
* Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data extracted from SAP and related financial reporting systems.
* Support internal and external audits linked to shareholder reporting, joint venture accounting, concession finance, and financial controls.
* Handle communication with governance committees including BOD, FINCO, TCM, and other relevant committee stakeholders.
* Coordinate joint venture and shareholder financial activities as a key finance focal point for reporting clarifications and concession finance matters.
* Analyze financial performance, budget movements, cost drivers, variances, and reporting trends to provide useful insights to management and shareholders.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and financial performance reviews for concession and shareholder reporting activities.
* Drive improvements in reconciliation quality, reporting efficiency, reporting cycle times, and finance data transparency.
* Participate in finance transformation, automation, and digital reporting initiatives to improve data quality and management visibility.
* Plan and supervise section resources to achieve department objectives in an efficient and cost-conscious manner.
* Support implementation of approved operational plans in line with section and department objectives.
* Develop staff knowledge, competencies, and innovative thinking within the section.
* Support personal development plans, succession planning, and talent pipeline initiatives with emphasis on UAE National development.
* Provide input for department budgets and monitor expenditure against approved section budget levels.
* Investigate, highlight, and reconcile significant budget variances to support effective cost control.
* Lead implementation of approved policies, processes, systems, procedures, standards, and internal controls.
* Implement the company performance management system and monitor achievement of section KPIs, annual performance objectives, and balanced scorecard targets.
* Review and recommend organization structure improvements to support effective use of human capital and sustainable work practices.
* Encourage innovation, change management, and process improvement across concession finance reporting activities.
* Propose internal process improvements based on best practices and ISO-aligned efficiency standards.
* Support HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, systems, controls, sustainability guidelines, and ADNOC Code of Practices.
* Ensure adequate HSE training and induction for section employees.
* Prepare section MIS reports, progress updates, and management reports to support accurate business decision-making.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders including division managers, people relations teams, and shareholder representatives.
* Work with contractors, consultants, joint venture partners, auditors, and external stakeholders when required.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
* Strong experience in financial reporting, FP&A, cost control, shareholder accounting, concession reporting, or joint venture finance.
* Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, or CFA is preferred.
* IFRS or SAP certification is an advantage.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial governance frameworks, reporting controls, and concession-related financial processes.
* Practical experience with SAP and financial reporting systems.
* Strong analytical capability with experience in reconciliations, variance analysis, cost driver reviews, and financial performance reporting.
* Ability to prepare shareholder reports, cash calls, billing statements, audit schedules, financial insights, and management reporting packs.
* Experience communicating with senior stakeholders, governance committees, shareholders, auditors, consultants, and joint venture partners.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication, planning, supervision, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to support finance transformation, automation, process improvement, and digital reporting initiatives.
* Proficient English communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential financial information, reporting deadlines, and complex finance workflows.
