Role Context
Fire Services provides immediate protection for personnel, plant assets and operational continuity
Key Responsibilities
Operational readiness must be supported by disciplined planning, practical drills and timely closure of identified safety actions.
* Supervise fire-services activities and coordinate responses to plant emergencies.
* Conduct and participate in firefighting, safety and loss-prevention programs.
* Organize mock drills and record observations, recommendations and required follow-up actions.
* Evaluate drill outcomes and promote improvements in emergency-response performance.
* Participate in site audits covering compliance with company fire and safety policies.
* Track work orders and Plant Change Requests affecting fire protection or emergency readiness.
* Monitor implementation of recommendations arising from audits and incident reports.
* Attend HSE meetings and provide specialist advice on fire safety and emergency controls.
* Observe site activities and verify proper application of the Permit To Work system.
* Support the development and implementation of Fire Services policies, procedures and systems.
* Review emergency and firefighting practices regularly to incorporate effective industry methods.
* Prepare annual, monthly and daily activity schedules for the Fire Services section.
* Contribute to plant fire-prevention procedures and technical guidelines.
* Confirm adherence to safety, quality and environmental instructions and controls.
* Maintain readiness of personnel and available resources for rapid emergency deployment.
* Act as Incident Controller when the Section Head is unavailable.
* Coordinate auxiliary fire teams and mutual-aid support during emergency situations.
* Provide clear operational direction while protecting personnel, facilities and the environment.
Ideal Profile
Applicants must hold a Bachelor\'s Degree in Science, Engineering or an equivalent discipline. At least eight years of Fire Services experience within gas-processing plants, refineries or comparable hydrocarbon facilities is required.
The successful candidate will understand industrial firefighting, emergency command, fire prevention, loss control and Permit To Work requirements. The role demands the confidence to supervise response teams, advise operational stakeholders and make timely decisions during high-pressure incidents.
