Role Context
The officer will help protect personnel, property and critical offshore infrastructure from fires, hydrocarbon releases,


toxic gas, chemical incidents and rescue emergencies. During an incident, the position assumes command until relieved by a senior fire officer and then leads assigned response crews. Between emergencies, the role develops responder capability through formal instruction, realistic simulations and equipment-readiness programs.

Key Responsibilities
Emergency authority must be supported by credible instruction, operational discipline and continuous facility inspection.

* Respond at any hour to fire, gas release, rescue and fire-loss-control incidents.
* Assume Incident Commander responsibilities until formally relieved by a senior officer.
* Direct firefighters and Auxiliary Fire Team members during emergency operations.
* Supervise responses involving hydrocarbon fires, oil spills and chemical releases.
* Lead rescue, life-support and medical-emergency activities when required.
* Coordinate Fire Training Centre activities under the Lead Fire Training Officer.
* Ensure training follows approved standards and Fire Service policies.
* Develop training aids for professional emergency-response instruction.
* Deliver courses for firefighters at different operational and supervisory levels.
* Train UAE Nationals participating in career and personnel development programs.
* Provide fire, chemical-incident and emergency-team training for offshore facilities.
* Conduct response instruction for personnel serving on associated marine vessels.
* Create realistic scenarios and organize simulated emergency exercises.
* Evaluate Auxiliary Fire Team and facility response-team performance during drills.
* Deliver breathing-apparatus and life-support equipment training.
* Instruct technicians in the operation of carbon dioxide and air compressors.
* Provide practical training on bulk dry-chemical filling equipment and breathing-apparatus test rigs.
* Inspect offshore island facilities for compliance with company HSE requirements.
* Verify adherence to applicable fire codes and technical standards.
* Compile inspection findings, BSA observations and STOP reports.
* Supervise testing and maintenance activities for major firefighting vehicles.
* Confirm that personnel remain competent in vehicle and equipment operation.
* Test marine firefighting tugs and critical fire-main components.
* Maintain reliable equipment readiness for island and marine emergencies.
* Review emergency procedures, maintenance programs and technical instructions.
* Develop training manuals that reflect current operational requirements.
* Establish safe methods for handling and disposing of hazardous chemicals.
* Supervise chemical disposal following emergency incidents and routine activities.
* Coordinate assigned personnel and support their technical development.
* Contribute to budgets, work plans and management progress reports.
* Maintain compliance with HSE, sustainability and legal obligations.

Ideal Profile
Candidates must hold a Bachelor\'s Degree and possess five to six years of firefighting or fire-protection experience in the oil industry. At least five years of this background must have been gained in a senior position.

Applicants should be experienced in fire and life-support equipment, industrial incident command and emergency-team instruction. Proficiency in English is required for operational communication, report writing and classroom delivery.

Watch Commander Level and Fire Service Instructor certification, or equivalent recognized credentials, are mandatory.
