Job Overview

As the IT Project Manager - Business Applications, you will oversee the full lifecycle of major IT initiatives within a dynamic Oil & Gas environment. This includes end-to-end project delivery, scope management, vendor coordination, and aligning technical solutions with business goals. Only candidates with direct Oil & Gas project leadership experience and PMP certification will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage IT projects from initiation through closure, delivering within scope, schedule, and budget
* Apply PMBOK methodologies and enforce governance across all project stages
* Conduct structured business analysis and technical workshops to define project scope and deliverables
* Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to ensure timely execution
* Track and mitigate project risks, maintain issue logs, and manage escalations with stakeholders
* Prepare and present executive-level reporting on project status, KPIs, and delivery milestones
* Ensure compliance with tendering procedures, contract standards, and SLA agreements
* Utilize tools such as MS Project and EPM for planning, monitoring, and documentation

Job Requirements

Education:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (mandatory)

Certifications:

* PMP certification from PMI is strictly required
* Agile, Scrum, or Business Analysis certifications are preferred

Experience:

* At least 10 years of IT experience in enterprise settings
* Minimum 7 years of project management experience in the Oil & Gas industry
* Successful delivery of at least two enterprise projects valued at 500,000+ USD each
* Strong understanding of PMBOK and formal project governance
* Experience managing vendor contracts, negotiations, and SLA enforcement
* Working knowledge of Agile project delivery frameworks and tools
