Key Responsibilities
* Review incoming work orders for completeness, accuracy, priority, and readiness before finalizing maintenance plans.
* Coordinate with Operations and execution supervisors to assess job status in the field and confirm planning requirements.
* Estimate manpower, skill requirements, man-hours, tools, materials, equipment, contractors, vendors, and safety requirements for planned work.
* Prepare task lists for corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities, plant shutdowns, and turnarounds.
* Review urgent work orders and recommend priority changes where appropriate to reduce unnecessary emergency work and maintenance cost.
* Maintain updated information on backlog jobs delayed due to material availability, engineering input, vendor support, or other pending requirements.
* Coordinate with warehouse teams to reserve, order, and confirm stock and non-stock materials needed for maintenance execution.
* Work with maintenance department sections to prepare plans and schedules for preventive maintenance, modifications, and major overhaul activities.
* Schedule operation and area maintenance work orders according to resource availability, material readiness, and plant priorities.
* Monitor daily job progress and prepare reports with recommendations for further maintenance planning improvement.
* Prepare and review backlog reports, follow up on pending actions, and support reduction of backlog to acceptable levels.
* Participate in improving planning procedures, work control practices, maintenance services, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support departmental reporting, budget-related activities, cost control updates, and performance objective tracking.
* Implement approved procedures, systems, standards, and SOPs in line with company requirements and ISO-based quality practices.
* Maintain proper communication with internal and external contacts while protecting data confidentiality and professional business standards.
* Support HSE, sustainability, energy management, ethics, quality, risk management, and corporate compliance requirements.
Ideal Profile
* Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline; bachelor’s degree will be preferred.
* Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in maintenance planning, work control, shutdown maintenance, or plant maintenance coordination.
* Experience in routine maintenance, shutdown planning, contracting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
* Strong understanding of planning techniques, maintenance philosophies, engineering standards, and plant maintenance processes.
* Knowledge of oil and gas, petrochemical, or large industrial plant operations will be highly valuable.
* Practical knowledge of plant equipment maintenance, equipment drawings, P and IDs, work orders, and materials planning.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems such as SAP.
* Knowledge of MS Project or Primavera will be an advantage.
* Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, schedules, and coordination requirements at the same time.
* Good communication skills with strong command of English and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
