Key Responsibilities
* Provide first-line and second-line support for manufacturing, business, and system integration applications used in plant operations.
* Analyze application issues, investigate incidents, troubleshoot system errors, and coordinate timely resolution for end users.
* Support the availability, credibility, and reliability of technical applications used by manufacturing and plant teams.
* Work with business users to understand functional requirements and translate them into application support or enhancement actions.
* Assist in developing and improving manufacturing applications to support operational efficiency and business continuity.
* Contribute to technical application projects, upgrades, system changes, and integration activities.
* Coordinate with internal IT teams, plant users, vendors, contractors, and external service providers where required.
* Provide user training, guidance, and support to improve effective use of manufacturing systems.
* Monitor application performance, identify recurring problems, and recommend corrective or improvement actions.
* Maintain accurate application support documentation, issue logs, change records, and user support updates.
* Support system testing, user acceptance testing, deployment activities, and post-implementation follow-up.
* Ensure application changes and support activities follow approved policies, procedures, cyber controls, and quality standards.
* Help improve application workflows, data quality, reporting accuracy, and system integration reliability.
* Prepare reports on application support activities, incidents, system performance, and improvement initiatives.
* Support HSE, sustainability, ethics, quality, risk management, and corporate compliance requirements linked to digital and manufacturing systems.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
* Experience in manufacturing applications, plant systems, business applications, system integration, or technical application support.
* Background in oil and gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, or large industrial environments will be highly valuable.
* Strong understanding of application support, troubleshooting, user requirements, system testing, and business process support.
* Ability to support both technical users and operational teams in a plant environment.
* Knowledge of manufacturing systems, integration tools, databases, reporting applications, or enterprise applications will be useful.
* Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to business users and support teams.
* Able to coordinate with vendors, contractors, IT teams, and plant stakeholders to resolve application issues.
* Organized and detail-focused, with strong documentation, follow-up, and problem-solving ability.
