Plant Operator - ADNOC Group - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Position Overview
Plant Operator in Abu Dhabi, UAE is responsible for operating, monitoring, and controlling assigned process units within ADNOC Group’s oil and gas facilities. This role ensures safe production, on-specification processing, storage, and export of products while maximizing plant yield and maintaining strict HSE and operational standards in the Oil & Energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate and monitor plant units in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe and efficient processing.
* Control panels and Integrated Control Systems to maintain product quality, plant efficiency, and operational safety.
* Log operating incidents, diagnose abnormalities, and implement corrective operational adjustments.
* Supervise routine equipment inspections and coordinate servicing and repair activities.
* Prepare plant and equipment for maintenance and ensure proper synchronization with other units.
* Adjust speeds, temperatures, pressures, and flow rates during start-ups, shutdowns, and emergency situations.
* Monitor essential instrument readings to maintain operations within specified limits.
* Handle chemical dosing, solution preparation, and ensure correct chemical usage following HSE standards.
* Authorize work permits and supervise contractor activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Participate in emergency response duties including Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer roles as required.
* Control plant upsets to prevent escalation and coordinate effectively with other departments and sites.
* Maintain accurate operational records, integrity tests, and KPI reports for management review.

Ideal Profile

* Technical Diploma in a relevant field or Secondary School Certificate with vocational trade certification.
* Minimum 6 years of experience in plant operations within a large oil and gas industrial facility.
* Strong understanding of control room operations, process monitoring, and plant safety systems.
* Knowledge of Integrated Control Systems and process instrumentation.
* Ability to respond effectively during operational emergencies.
* Good communication and reporting skills.
* Familiarity with ADNOC HSE standards and international operational best practices.
