Position Overview
ADNOC Group is seeking a Production Optimization Specialist in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to provide technical guidance to ADNOC Offshore subsurface and surface teams. The role focuses on improving well and field production performance, evaluating production technologies, strengthening engineering practices, and supporting safe, cost-effective asset operations. The specialist will work across petroleum engineering disciplines to integrate well and surface models and share practical solutions across asset teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Technical Center\'s subsurface strategy and identify production optimization challenges across ADNOC Offshore assets.
- Assess technologies, software, engineering tools, and methodologies for their suitability in addressing production challenges.
- Advise asset teams on production optimization studies, well performance, and integration between subsurface and surface systems.
- Develop and review production optimization frameworks, guidelines, performance indicators, and technical standards.
- Ensure optimization activities meet asset requirements, company specifications, and safety and cost expectations.
- Provide specialist input on well and field performance analysis, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and improvement opportunities.
- Capture lessons learned and share technical practices through workshops, forums, peer reviews, and cross-asset collaboration.
- Coordinate technical knowledge exchange with ADNOC headquarters, shareholders, other operating companies, contractors, and technology providers.
- Mentor production optimization personnel and graduates, and deliver relevant in-house training.
- Supervise assigned activities, support staff development, and contribute to departmental budgets, work plans, and performance reporting.
- Recommend process improvements aligned with applicable ISO standards and comply with ADNOC HSE and sustainability requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor\'s degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- 9-10 years of experience in petroleum production optimization or related activities, including 5 years in a production optimization specialist role.
- Strong knowledge of subsurface production optimization at well and field levels.
- Broad petroleum engineering expertise covering drilling, completions, stimulation, well testing, workovers, and rigless activities.
- Experience with artificial lift systems, particularly gas lift and electrical submersible pumps (ESP).
- Skills in well performance analysis, production diagnostics, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Proficiency in English.
Working Relationships
The specialist works regularly with Technical Center disciplines, asset teams, and other technical functions. External coordination may include ADNOC upstream stakeholders, shareholders, operating companies, contractors, and technology service providers.
