Role Context
This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of major engineering projects, from concept development through execution and commissioning. It plays a critical role in ensuring project delivery aligns with company objectives, operational requirements, and shareholder expectations while maintaining strict HSE compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and execution of multi-disciplinary oil and gas engineering projects
* Provide technical input into project concepts, design, and procurement strategies
* Manage project consultants, contractors, and internal engineering teams
* Oversee all phases of project execution including planning, design, construction, and commissioning
* Ensure compliance with HSE standards, engineering practices, and company procedures
* Control project budgets, costs, and financial forecasting activities
* Review and approve contracts, tenders, and procurement decisions
* Coordinate with internal departments including finance and commercial teams
* Monitor project performance, timelines, and deliverables
* Prepare and present progress reports and project updates to management
* Lead risk management and implement corrective actions where necessary
* Supervise multi-disciplinary teams and provide leadership across project activities
* Ensure quality assurance and adherence to engineering standards
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
* Minimum 12 years of experience in oil and gas project engineering and execution
* At least 5 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and contractors
* Strong leadership and decision-making skills in complex project environments
* Experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract management
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and engineering standards
* PMP certification preferred
