Role Context
The Quality Operations Technician supports project quality management by maintaining operational records, monitoring compliance systems, and assisting the QA team with administrative coordination across facilities and vessels. This role improves reporting accuracy, audit preparation, and corrective action management while helping ensure adherence to quality standards and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the main point of contact for craft supervisors requiring access to standards, technical publications, inspection tools, and measuring instruments
* Ensure all inspection forms follow approved standard formats and are completed accurately on a monthly basis
* Maintain quality records and ensure all related codes and standards are properly documented and accessible
* Support the Project Quality Manager and QA team with daily administrative and documentation activities
* Coordinate between facility or vessel operations and the Administrative Office regarding corrective action register updates
* Track corrective action register issues and support timely closure of outstanding quality matters
* Assist in developing methods to measure non-conformances such as production delays, unscheduled flights, and redundant vessel movements
* Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISM, and ISPS audit preparation activities and corrective action report closures
* Act as a focal point to help resolve facility and vessel issues related to quality compliance
* Assist with facility and vessel KPI monitoring and reporting activities
* Maintain registers for ladders, below hook lifting devices, corrective action reports, training records, and MSDS documentation
* Ensure proper filing, accessibility, and continuous updating of all operational quality and compliance records
Ideal Profile
* High school diploma or equivalent qualification
* Previous experience in quality operations, QA administration, compliance support, or industrial office coordination is preferred
* Strong computer skills with confidence in handling reports, records, and operational tracking systems
* Good understanding of quality standards, audit preparation, and compliance documentation
* Highly organized with strong discipline and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills for coordination across operations, supervisors, and management teams
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
* Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in fast-paced operational environments
