Role Context
The Quality Operations Technician supports operational excellence by maintaining quality records, monitoring compliance systems, and ensuring inspection standards are consistently followed across facilities and vessels. This role helps reduce operational delays, improve audit readiness, and strengthen corrective action management while supporting safe and efficient project performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the main point of contact for craft supervisors requiring access to standards, codes, technical publications, and inspection tools
* Ensure all inspection forms follow standard company formats and are completed accurately on a monthly basis
* Maintain quality records and ensure proper documentation of applicable codes and standards
* Coordinate between facilities, vessels, and the administrative office regarding corrective action register updates
* Track and follow up on corrective action register issues to support timely resolution and compliance
* Assist in establishing processes to measure non-conformances such as production delays, unscheduled flights, and redundant vessel movements
* Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISM, and ISPS audit preparation activities and closure of corrective action reports
* Act as a focal point for resolving quality-related facility and vessel issues
* Assist with facility and vessel Key Performance Indicator monitoring and reporting
* Maintain registers for ladders, lifting devices, CAR records, training records, and MSDS documentation
* Ensure accurate filing and accessibility of all quality and operational compliance records
Ideal Profile
* High school diploma or equivalent qualification
* Previous experience in quality operations, compliance support, or industrial facility administration is preferred
* Strong computer skills with ability to manage records, reports, and operational tracking systems
* Good understanding of quality standards, inspection processes, and compliance documentation
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and process discipline
* Effective communication skills for coordination across operations, supervisors, and management teams
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple departments and project functions
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in dynamic operational environments
