Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and conduct reviews of field development plans, reservoir studies, static models, dynamic models, and reservoir simulation work.
* Monitor field development plan studies to ensure technical quality, analytical rigor, and compliance with ADNOC standards and guidelines.
* Liaise with Group Companies to review existing development plans, reservoir models, data gathering programs, and technical study outcomes.
* Provide technical advice on reservoir modeling, simulation workflows, analytical studies, and field development optimization.
* Support implementation of ADNOC technical standards and best practices across Group Companies to improve efficiency, consistency, and value creation.
* Participate in testing and evaluation of commercial reservoir simulators, reservoir software, analytical tools, and related pre-processing and post-processing systems.
* Recommend cost-effective technical software and tools that meet ADNOC requirements for reservoir studies and modeling.
* Provide hands-on support for reservoir modeling, simulation, development planning studies, and subsurface technical projects.
* Review reservoir study reports and recommend actions to improve field development plans, reservoir management, and study quality.
* Represent ADNOC in technical discussions with Group Companies, stakeholders, consultants, service companies, and technology providers.
* Advise on current and future reservoir modeling, reservoir management activities, advanced technologies, and research opportunities for Abu Dhabi reservoirs.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated reservoir engineering, geology, geophysics, and subsurface study approaches.
* Support development of knowledge standards, competency frameworks, resource allocation strategies, and technical training programs for upstream specialists.
* Contribute to MIS reports, progress updates, budget inputs, performance objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Comply with HSE policies, sustainability guidelines, ADNOC Code of Practices, and approved technical procedures.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Reservoir Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
* Master’s degree in Reservoir Engineering or a related subsurface discipline will be preferred.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in subsurface reservoir engineering.
* Strong functional understanding of geology, geophysics, reservoir characterization, fluid characterization, reservoir performance, and development planning.
* Skilled in applying classical reservoir engineering analytical methods.
* Practical knowledge of reservoir engineering software such as Eclipse and VIP.
* Experience with modeling tools such as Petrel and RMS.
* Familiarity with PVT software and integrated production management tools such as MBAL and Prosper.
* Capable of performing basic simulation modeling and applying advanced reservoir modeling techniques.
* Experience using multiple modeling tools for reservoir analysis and field development evaluation.
* Confident communication and presentation skills for internal and external technical meetings.
* Self-motivated professional with initiative, strong problem-solving ability, and confidence in handling challenging technical deadlines.
* Able to coach others on reservoir engineering tools, modeling workflows, and analytical applications.
