Role Context
The Senior Completions Specialist is responsible for managing mechanical completion and system handover processes during fabrication and offshore project execution. This role ensures systems are inspected, tested, documented, and handed over efficiently to support commissioning and operational readiness. The position plays a critical role in reducing project delays, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth coordination between engineering, fabrication, vendors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Review project-specific scope of work, specifications, and technical requirements for mechanical completion execution
* Request qualified engineers, supervisors, and manpower resources required for completion activities
* Coordinate equipment, tools, consumables, and materials required for safe and efficient mechanical completion operations
* Work closely with Fabrication Coordinators on schedules, planning, and potential cost impact assessments
* Coordinate with HSE Officers to ensure proper task risk assessments and safe execution practices
* Prepare and identify Mechanical Completion Inspection and Test Records required within PIMS
* Supervise discipline engineers involved in mechanical completion and handover activities
* Develop execution plans, completion strategies, and implementation procedures for project delivery
* Allocate budgets and estimated man-hours for mechanical completion-related activities
* Define system limits and manage structured handover boundaries for commissioning readiness
* Prepare and maintain the Mechanical Completion Management System for project execution
* Support engineering policies, yard procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives across the division
* Provide historical project data and technical input to support bids and future project planning
* Attend and deliver training sessions while providing feedback for process improvements
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred
* Minimum 8 years of experience in hookup, commissioning, and offshore oil and gas project execution
* Strong experience with PIMS completion management systems, punch lists, preservation management, and handover processes
* Proven coordination experience across EPC contractors, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and fabrication teams
* Strong understanding of system completion certification and structured project handover requirements
* High commitment to safe working practices, productivity standards, and quality compliance
* Strong planning and problem-solving skills in fabrication and commissioning environments
* Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities across multidisciplinary teams
